He listened, and listen carefully he did. Sure, maybe Quartz was under some sort of divine influence to speak as if singing a song, but it didn't mean she couldn't word her answer accurately. And the wording he focused on rather than the tone used. It was actually really helpful. Not only did it make him feel a little better that wording possibly implied the dark canine had just as much control on her arrival as he, but power and magic had once again been referenced. Was divine power an important part of this land's culture?
The last part, though, kind of threw him off. Fated to stay? Cocoa-colored eyes shifted as he worked to decipher how literally he should take such a claim. Either way, he wasn't eager to find out what were to happen if he decided to challenge such a fact. Even then, if staying long term was a plan here, regardless if leaving was a possibility or not, he had to talk about such a thing with Mitis.
Now, he ran out of questions he could immediately (and dare) put fourth at the moment. Because of such, he pondered closing the conversation as a whole. Though, Quartz was nice, and frankly, he enjoyed her company. While talking was a difficulty, it was still possible. Surely even a little bit of on the side getting to know wouldn't hurt. Aside from the literal coughing up flowers bit.
"Thank you." He expressed his appreciation with a warm smile as despite his worries and frustrations, a bundle of satisfaction for having learned even something had become something for Kicheko to acknowledge to himself. Such satisfaction remained even as more flowers were coughed up. "If I may," Even then, he wished this curse could show a bit of mercy and allow him to even get out a full sentence before stopping him. His tongue passed over his lips, the male grimacing slightly at the lingering taste of petals and stem growing more apparent. "Do you live here?" He had to admit, it was a nice looking territory. Aside from the fact Kicheko was starting to get a little sick at the sight of flowers at the moment.
