Now merely a few yards away, Jordan had to slow her pace for breath. Limping could be a lot of work sometimes... Still, a happy, panting grin was plastered on her green face as she crawled the remaining distance between she and the strange talking female. Who...stuck her face into the bush. Yep. She was one of those weird wolves that Diego talked about. "Hi, Salt! And...Salt's friend-bush!" It was rude to not acknowledge others. Even if it was weird. And to a bush. "Can you help me get back?" Scrawny rump settled to the ground in a comical posture with hind legs tossed to the side. Her mangled hind paw aptly visible to the world. The pup was not very mindful of it; it was as common and part of her as anyone's eyes or ears. It was meant to be. So there was no self-conscious display of trying to hide her malformedy(?).

Pepper shoved her nose through the bush. Quartz tensed, torn between fight and flight, but all she did was sniff before pulling back. Quartz didn’t dare relax, though. As a prey creature, the fact that she hadn’t become a snack yet was no guarantee of safety. She knew that quite well from her own hunts, many of which had involved stalking a herd of deer for days before the right moment to strike presented itself. Sure, Pepper might not want to eat her friend, but instinct was a powerful thing. The skinny she-wolf spoke, and Quartz sighed. Pepper’s new curse was also going to be a problem. At least she wasn’t forced into singing. Odd how they seemed to have switched curses with new aspects, though. One shapeshifted and one’s speech affected… It made her wonder how Myrr was doing and what he was suffering through. Pepper introduced herself to the pup…as Salt. Quartz snorted at that, and at the pup’s response. This was going to be a day. “Her name’s Pepper. She seems incapable of speaking properly at the moment.” She crept forward, not quite leaving the shelter of the bush but at least getting to where she could have a better look at the duo, even if that meant they’d get a better look at her in return. “Where do you need to be?” Her gaze flicked briefly to the pup’s ruined paw, though she tried to hide the fact that she’d noticed. What would have happened to a creature so small and young? Didn’t she have anyone to protect her? This could be an adult in pup form, but she doubted it. The pup wouldn’t also be green, would she? Pepper((Sorry this took so long. >.<))

[googlefont=Roboto][googlefont=Montserrat][googlefont=Open+Sans] [attr="class","pepper"] It seemed the pup was mostly clueless on what had happened to the three of them. Pepper would of typically explained the situation in a kindly manner, but that was impossible with her current obstacle. In fact, talking in any form seemed largely worthless at present. It was only thanks to Quartz's quick grasp of the situation that any sense could be made from the scrawny being's babbling at all. The obsidian huntress had thankfully cleared up that the female's name was actually 'Pepper'. Her cranium was going to give an approving nod, but as soon as a mysterious crick formed that would only allow side-to-side motion she knew that it was a fruitless notion. Stuck within her own woes, olive eyes barely noticed the movement that stirred within the bush she stood beside. A figure, small and auburn, crept a bit closer to the edge of the foliage. It was both great and horrible to see that her now-rodent friend was as she suspected. No wonder she had been so fearful - and still held a thick layer of it now. Since relaying the fact that she was privy to Quartz's transformation wasn't an option, Pepper hoped that a reassuring smile in her direction would do. Meanwhile, attention quickly went back down to the small, twisted bundle. The wound that displayed blatantly was odd, but it also didn't seem to be hurting the pup so it wasn't of much concern for the salt-pepper skeleton. "Are you accompanied?" Ha! Though it took three times as long for her to plan, at least this question sounded fine coming backwards. tags: @quartz Jordan words: 269 notes: you're fine <3 [newclass=.pepper]max-height:400px;color:#E1DFD8;text-align:justify;padding:10px;width:440px;font-family:Open Sans;font-size:10px;overflow:auto;background:#000;opacity:.5[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper b]color:#843a30;text-shadow: 0px 0px 2px;font-family:montserrat;letter-spacing:1px;[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper i]color:#dc2f18; font: 11px Roboto; font-style: italic;[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background-color: #fff; width:1px; [/newclass] [newclass=.pepper::-webkit-scrollbar]width: 5px; height: 5px; background: #ccc; border: 3px solid #f0f0f0;[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper::-webkit-scrollbar-corner]background: #ccc; border: 2px solid #ccc;[/newclass]
