He was reunited with Mitis, and honestly, Kicheko felt infinitely better. For the most part. He still had yet to figure out what was going on. Now that the most critical part of the issue was solved, he was working on collecting his thoughts--trying to piece it himself. Though, honestly, it felt like such knowledge was something the male couldn't just slap together with common sense. An exhale hissed through his nose, not that of frustration, but more-so of content. Mitis wasn't present at this very moment, but he still knew she was safe, and he knew, in a general way, where she was. Parting physical ways temporarily was much more satisfactory than unintentionally doing so whilst waking up in confusion.
His earthy-toned legs rubbed upon the grasses and flowers as he walked, taking in the general sense of the area. Nothing like back home. Either home he once knew. Sometimes he missed the dry, heated savannas, and other times he missed the rough, cold mountain. He didn't have to miss the people, though. The idea of the unknown, while it frightened him, it also intrigued him far more. He had a world of mystery to uncover with his spouse.

She’d been making it a real habit to patrol the cradle. Why not? It was home. Besides, she needed something to do with the free time she had now that she was no longer traveling. That was quite a lot to get used to on its own, but her life seemed intent on changing every few days or so. Was that because she was still relatively new to these lands, or because of her divinity? Or maybe it was just this place. Sadly, she’d probably never know. Give it a few more days and something else drastic would happen. She was sure of it. Her powers picked up on a mortal wolf in the distance, and she veered in its direction. She needed to meet others – that was part of her purpose here. And it was a good idea to get to know potential neighbors, pack, and even enemies. At the very least, she needed to know where this wolf might fall. She continued on until she could see the peppered brown form walking among the snowdrops. Then she approached, her posture and gait displaying caution. This wolf had an equal chance of being friend or foe. She couldn’t assume this encounter would be safe. She could only try to make it so. “I am Quartz.” It was always best to introduce oneself, right? “Who might you be?” Kicheko Faraja

When he was aware of another, visually speaking, the male made sure to align his body to where his chest pointed towards the stranger. Not only as a polite gesture to acknowledge said stranger, but also as a cautionary measure. Deep brown eyes observed in silence until the introduction. There was quite a bit to take note of in just an instant.
First off, he knew nothing about this female. Friend or foe was hard to tell, even with seemingly non-malicious greeting. He made note to keep track of not only her body language, but also her facial expressions. So far, things seemed non-aggressive. Whew! Second, though, she spoke with an odd tone, that of as if she were singing. Blinking as he took a double-take, he felt himself lean back slightly in confusion. Who was he to judge how someone spoke, though, given he's heard some strange speech patterns in the past. Additionally, he, at one time, spoke with such butchered English.
"Kichek-" He couldn't even complete his own first name before a sudden tickling within his throat caused a worrisome disruption. His maw opened as coughs forced their way from his throat. Oh--what was wrong with him? He felt fine just moments before. His multi-toned head lowered as he worked to clear the discomfort. "Excuse-" He tried, only to feel something make itself apparent in his mouth. Unidentifiable flowers spewed from his mouth, mostly mangled and chewed. While the tickling within his throat remained, it wasn't nearly as terrible as it was just a moment before.
Absolutely speechless. How did those get there?
Sickened confusion laced his features as he could only look back at Quartz, as her name revealed to be. Last time he checked, he hadn't put anything but actual food in his mouth lately. Embarrassing? Confusing? Frustrating? Outright impossible? This situation could be stamped with so many descriptions of how it felt.

The other was cautious but polite. Quartz nodded to him, granting the bit of respect he showed her in turn. He blinked at her as she spoke, and she suppressed a sigh. Yes, she was singing. Oh, how she wished she could stop. But then he started to speak, and…what… Was he all right? She stepped forward, summoning her power in preparation to heal him, but it looked like he just had to vomit. In that case, she backed off a couple paces to give him the space he needed, looking on in sympathy. That was never a pleasant experience, was it? He tried speaking again, only for something to come out of his mouth. Was…was that a flower? Flowers, in the plural? How in the world was that happening? Were the gods perhaps cursing wolves aside from her? She looked up, as though the sky would have any answers…there was much to discuss with Oberon next time she saw him. He’d need to know what his brethren were up to. She just hoped he wasn’t playing a part in it all. “I’m not the only cursed one, I see…” she mused. She wasn’t sure if that was a comfort or an upset. With another glance at the flowers, he felt an uncomfortable twist in his stomach. Whether it was preparing the wolf for another episode or simply a reaction from alarmed confusion was debatable. He listened to the verbal reaction of Quartz, and he felt a little flutter of hope within his chest. At the same time, he felt another wave of confusion. Cursed. What a familiar word, albeit vaguely in terms of context. He wasn't in that land anymore, though. He was here in foreign land. Wherever here was, anyways, he still had a task of finding out.
"Kicheko." He corrected his previous failure, straining through another immediate discomfort within his throat. He could already feel another batch of flowers invading. He wasn't going to take up time in a coughing fit every time he had something to say if he could help it, though. The initial surprise for unfortunate situations was always the most intense and worse. Now that he was aware of this anomaly, he could better prepare before trying to say something. Assumption this would happen when he spoke, anyways, as this issue had only come up the moment he opened his mouth.
"What's-" He broke off for yet another cough, gladly just a couple rather than a full on fit, in order to expel, surprise surprise, more flowers. "-going on?" As straight to the point and clear as he could be, given it would be a terrible idea to say more words than necessary in this situation. The tickling in his throat as just as bothersome as the embarrassment at such an unusual issue. Initially, he was ready to think he had caught some unheard of disease, but the mention of being cursed made the whole thing feel much more like it wasn't a simple occurrence of nature's darker side involving illnesses.
Wording by this wolf, Quartz, though...It gave Kicheko the hope he took it in the right way by assuming she might know something useful about where he was. Or what was even happening with the flowers and the sing-song tone she kept up. Maybe it was involuntary of her. He dared clear his throat to try (and fail) at ridding the tickling sensation leftover from the flowers.

The male made another attempt at introducing himself. She nodded to him, tail tip twitching. She liked this male so far – he seemed kind. Confused and maybe a little scared – and understandably so – but kind, and polite. She relaxed a little and felt a small measure of her embarrassment slip away. The singing was terrible, but she wasn’t the only one having to endure something unpleasant. They were in this together, whatever “this” was. He asked what was going on, and she considered, wondering what he might know. Would he have met a guide yet? Did he know of gods and divinity? It was quite a story, and one she wasn’t sure should be coming from her, but better for her to tell than for him to remain in the dark. This land held so many dangers that others lacked. He’d need to prepare himself and be on his guard. “You should have met someone when you found yourself here,” she started to explain. “To provide you with knowledge and dispel any fear. The gods of old are real, it would seem, and this whole place is much more than a dream. There is something in each mortal wolf you will find – a bit of divinity inside every mind. Our gifts are to be discovered and grown, so we can ascend and find our true home.” She sighed, cursing herself under her breath. She sounded like a cub’s bedtime story! “I suppose some god has seen fit to play, so we’re meant to suffer in our own unique ways. I know not how long this is meant to last, but I hope each of our problems fades fast.” Kicheko Faraja ((I am so so sorry. XD))

He was extremely grateful the female was willing to share at least something. While it would be hard to readily voice such feelings, he decided the best he could do was offer a smile of gratitude. Though, he'd be lying if he understood everything of what she was saying. While he had arrived confused and afraid, his fear had only been dispelled when he found Mitis unharmed. Now some of it returned in light of the flowers and the (at this point obviously) couldn't-be-helped sing-song tone of the darker canine.
Kicheko made effort to try to visualize what she could possibly mean when mentioning gods and divinity. A wolf with horns. The one that had come upon him and Mitis the moment they reunited.* What had he called himself again? "Morpheus." He pointed out with effort, hoping the name rang of some significance to Quartz the moment he could recall the name, of course after a moment of thought. The pale creature had called himself a god, so, that had to be it. He still didn't know much, though. Not enough by his standards, anyways.
He swallowed, hoping to once again reduce his discomforted tickling. He could feel it coming, quite distressingly. Oh, if he and another had a problem, was it unrealistic to wonder if Mitis fell victim too? He hoped not. He'd have to check up on her when possible. Despite yet another overlapping weight of distress, he kept his composure. "Gods toy with mortals?" He asked in regards to her very last statement along with the context of this issue, unable to help but grimace as he could barely get out the last couple of words. When he had, though, it was inevitable he spewed the plants yet again. Every time he expected it and could brace for it, though, it felt a little less unbearable. Slightly. It was actually, overall still horrible and a huge inconvenience.
@quartz *Trying to be realistically vague about the events of an ongoing thread! ^^' RIP these two trying to have a normal conversation

Morpheus? The name seemed familiar. She thought she might have met a second god during a hunt. Perhaps that was he? In that chaos, it was hard to remember… But the important thing was that someone had found him, which meant he likely knew most of what she said. Good, because she was apparently unable to offer much in the way of proper explanation. Not with this must-sing-always… thing her body chose to do with or without her. He questioned her, his voice straining at the last couple of words. More flowers escaped him – and oh that did look so uncomfortable. Whatever she might be feeling about her own predicament, the flower vomit had to be much worse. Sadly, she didn’t think her power was sufficient to stop the curse for either of them. They’d have to endure until whoever-it-was got bored with their game, or until they found a way to end it on their own. “The ones I’ve known have been kind, I suppose,” she responded after a moment, thinking back on the couple of encounters she’d experienced. “But I imagine some enjoy causing woes. If I were you I’d keep on my toes – some can be friends, but some must be foes.” That wasn't a lot of comfort, she knew, but it was the best she could offer. The world wasn't easy living anyway, and anyone that thought so was in dire need for an awakening if they wished to survive. Kicheko Faraja ((I do understand the hardship. XD))

Upon her response regarding his verbal prod for more, he felt a dark pit of frustration at the fact a god, of all creatures, would take joy in others' misfortunes. He honestly, though, wanted to settle down for a bit after all of the travelling he and Mitis did. Just for a bit, if it must be. With realistic thinking, why should Kicheko even expect to escape any and all malicious creatures? His head tilted downwards so his snout pointed toward the ground as he made an effort not to glance at the little mess he made on said ground. Ick.
Gladly, it seemed, by Quartz' wording, that not all gods were mischievous tyrants looking for a laugh. Honestly, the more she spoke, the less distracting her own predicament was on his side. He could only hope she was having an easier time dealing with it than he was with his own. "What was it like," Cue flowers, once again. "When you came? Or how?" He questioned, of course interrupted by a need to cough. It was hard to finish a sentence when the moment you spoke, the flowers just came out of nowhere into the back of your throat, until they ended up on the ground. The remaining tickling in the end, honestly, was the most merciful thing about it. The tougher part was getting what he needed to say out with as little speaking as possible, and thus as little flowers as possible.
He recalled how confused he was, given he hadn't recalled the day before he woke here, nor how he even ended up here. Honestly, he wanted some comfort in knowing that he and Mitis weren't the only ones that had to deal with such an alarming wake up. Not that he would wish that on anyone else. He felt sort of bad he had hoped for an answer that was similar to what he would respond with if asked. Was that selfish of him to hope for?

Her companion asked what it was like for her when she arrived here. She regarded him a moment, surprised he even wanted to know that. Was it simple curiosity, or a way of seeking comfort? Her own trip here hadn’t been what she’d call pleasant, and she took a moment to consider. How much should she tell or leave out? Really, none of it was his business, but he’d been kind and respectful so far. She had no reason to withhold her answer. “I had been wandering between the trees,” she answered finally, thinking back to the day. “Then I wound up next to the seas. I started padding alongside the surf, and then I was met by a god of the earth. He told me I ended up in a land far away, and that my power would find me one day. He swore to help me along my way, and said if I need him I had but to pray.” What else was there? She thought she’d hit everything important in that… “I seem to recall, come whatever may, everyone here is fated to stay.” Kicheko Faraja ((Ugh, sorry for the length. In my defense, writing song is hard. ))
