Gameez
Something warm was lapping against gameez's nose. Back and forth, gentle as a mother's touch. He breathes in just as a wave comes rolling forward, unknown to him until it's all but too late. The salty water flushes his face and fills his nasel cavities. Coughing and gagging he comes to a startling wake. Darkness is all around him. A few scattered stars twinkle against the ebony backdrop, yet.. there was no moon in sight. But that isn't what has his stomach in a knot and his mind struggling to grasp the reality of his situation. One thing was for certain; this had not been where he'd fallen asleep before... The grassy ground beneath the massive oak he had once been laying under traded for pale sands and salty air. Gameez blinks, confused and still, honestly half asleep. 'this iSn't REAL,' the thought creeps into his mind much like the fog coasting over the vast ocean WAVES in front of him. An eerie feeling starts to simmer under his skin, making his fur bristle ever so slightly. Something was wrong...Very wrong. Every instinct in his body screamed it. At one point in his life Gameez had been positive things couldn't be any worse. It's just a dream. He tried to convince himself as he got to his feet and padded ankle deep into the bioluminescent blue waves. They were so.. Beautiful, the man nearly forgets his alarming change of scenery. Standing amist the glowing shoreline, he looks to the heavens. "What is this place?" The words tumbling free with wonder and underlying worry. Was he losing his mind? Had being alone finally done it? Drawn him to hallucinating? Because he certainly wasn't at home anymore; the smell was all wrong. SundewOoc: kinda fillierish.. i suck at starters lol..

[googlefont=Roboto][googlefont=Montserrat][googlefont=Open+Sans] [attr="class","sunny"] The moon shed gentle light, her smiling face half-hidden and modestly veiled in a light layer of mist. Stars gleamed in her dark tresses, emphasizing the beauty of the expanse. Sundew wandered about on the beach below, allowing her paws to wander where they would. The smell of the sea filled her nostrils, the salt causing a slight, almost unnoticeable burning. Waves lapped gently at the shore, tossing about the bioluminescent organisms that seemed to outshine the stars. In this world, the sea was as beautiful as the sky. Sundew had never seen anything like it. The mirrored duality spread across such a large expanse even put the purple, green, and blue banner that sometimes hung across the tundra sky to shame. So why did she long only for the cool, crisp air of her home? If this place was so beautiful, so marvelous and enchanting, why did she long for the humdrum banality of the tundra? It was simple, really: Sundew was lonely.
Her entire life had been spent in the loving embrace of her family. Her mother had chided her, her siblings had teased her, but always she ha been loved. Always she had been safe. Here every day was something new. Once, she would have insisted that she longed for adventure. Once, she would have called any who complained at the chance to be a god a fool. That did not change the aching in her chest, did not assuage the loneliness that encroached on the treasure trove of joy her heart normally held.
The Broken Coast seemed an appropriate place for her mood, especially on this night. The fog lent it an especially ethereal quality. Sundew almost felt as if by stepping through the right space she might stumble upon yet another world. Instead, she stumbled upon another wolf. He was golden. Staring out at the moon and shining sea as he was, he seemed its antithesis. The sun, broken free from the sky to visit night. And here Sundew was, her pure white quote echoing the moon above. Such a lovely metaphor. "What is this place?" Despite her bleak mood, Sundew couldn't help herself. Her lips quirked in a rueful smile and she let out a gentle laugh. Wary of his reaction, she stepped into a clearer area. "You must be new here. This is the realm of gods-to-be."
Sundew had always been easy to please, and even this small exposure to another wolf was enough to raise her spirits. As her happiness increase, she felt herself begin to radiate waves of joy. It was minor, a decreased version of her own subdued state, but still enough to affect the other wolf's mood. She was wary of artificially changing his happiness level, as she had once done with Myrr. Sundew was desperate for real, permanent connections, and even she was mature enough to know you didn't go about that by force or manipulation. Even if it would make him happier. "I'm Sundew. What a nice surprise! I wasn't expecting to meet anyone knew tonight."

"You must be new here. This is the realm of gods-to-be." The unmistakable chime of a feminine voice echoes over the soothing lull of the waves lapping the shoreline. Surprised, Gameez's head snaps quickly to face the direction in which the voice had come. Yellow eyes are greeted by the shape of a she wolf standing on shore. Her coat as white as fluffy clouds with vivid purple eyes. They remind him of lavender flowers, only brighter. "Gods to be?" He laughs, a sound that is dry with disbelief. Pretty but crazy, he thinks. Gods were just silly little stories mother's told to their children--and most importantly they were heros; Gameez was no hero, so what would they ever want with him? "I'm no god to be darling," I'm a monster; the words die on his breath. Unable to speak them aloud, shame and sadness held his tongue. How could he tell someone who looked so sweet, such fowl things? He couldn't-- she would run away. Inside a battle was waging. A fight to keep a well fit MASK of placid behavior about himself. Excitement and anxiety swallow him up like a wave that forces you underwater. It had been so very long since Gameez had company, he didn't want her to leave; because the longer she stood there, the more he realized just how lonely he has been. "I'm Sundew. What a nice surprise! I wasn't expecting to meet anyone new tonight." Oh crap, had he been zoned out this whole time? How embarrassing! But despite his awkward silence she looked so happy. The corners of his dark lips curl upward in the bloom of a sheepish grin. And just like that, little by little the joy that seems to practically radiate off the she wolf starts to fill him up, pushing away any hints of anxiety. "I'm Gameez," he declared in a chipper tone as he made his way onto the beach; paws devouring the little bit of distance between them-- leaving, or at least trying to leave four feet between each other, should Sundew allow it. "Can't say I expected to see anyone either, it's pretty late out." the fog that had once been floating over the water was now creeping over the beach and making its way closer to the pair. "So what's got you out so late lil mama?" curiosity finally getting the best of him. Plus he wanted to keep the conversation going, everyone liked to talk about themselves right? × × × × × × × × × Sundew Words; 415

[googlefont=Roboto][googlefont=Montserrat][googlefont=Open+Sans] [attr="class","sunny"] A wry smile quirked it's way across Sundew's face at the other wolf's disbelief. Had she believed it at first? Well, yes. Once someone had actually taken the time to tell her what was going on. Of course, by the time she met Oberon, Sundew had been in this strange land for several days. She had seen wolves sway and ramble as if mad, seen pups converse with the dignity of adulthood, soon a child prevent an elk from fleeing the hunt. Without these things? Perhaps she too would have scoffed in disbelief. Sundew doubted it though. She had always been the type of wolf to pick the reality that was the most fun. What could be more fun than becoming a god? A family, a home, a mate to love, pups to suckle... Sundew shook her head and shrugged. There was no point dwelling in might have been. This golden wolf would learn the truth soon enough. If Sunny had possessed a more physical power, she might have shown him. Oberon had made a lake of earth between her paws, complete with leaping fish. Alas, a heartfelt smile could do as much as her powers. It was more honest, too. Sundew had come to realize, slowly, that it would be almost impossible to tell when she had found a true friend. Is joy that is contagious any true joy at all?
"So what's got you out so late lil mama?"
Sundew giggled. She had never been flirted with, no properly, and no one had ever called her sweet names before. Her lavender eyes raked over the blonde wolf before her again. He was certainly handsome. Fit, with a charming synchronicity of coat and eyes. Sundew had long been of the opinion that white was the most boring color possible for a wolf. This male seemed to prove it. "I'd heard tales of the waves shining in the night, so I decided to see it for myself." The wolf looked out over the waves crashing against the shore. It really was beautiful. They seemed lit from within as if the sea had gained a soul with the rising moon. It was a lie. She had come because she was sad, but had thought it would make her sound weak to admit it. Now that she had denied her sorrow, she knew where the true weakness lie. "And I missed my family. I'll never see them again, you know. No one ever does." Sundew turned her big purple eyes on the other wolf once more. "I'm sorry..." And she was, truly, for if no one ever saw their family again, then neither would this wolf before her. A wolf who still had no name. "What are you called?"

Gameez
There were still many unanswered questions rolling around in the man's mind. How had he gotten here? Was this place really what Sundew said it was, had he ended up in a place fit for legends and dreams? Gameez would be a liar if he said the thought didn't stir feelings of excitement and hope inside of him. But dare he believe? It was hard not to as he stood among the sandy shores of the glowing coast. Despite his attempts to keep himself in line; telling himself it wasn't true-- that he wasn't in the realm of God's and gods to be, hope still blossoms somewhere inside of him. He can start over. The weight of her lavender eyes exploring his body had not gone without notice. First the hints of a slow inviting smile ensnare dark lips. Following a quick playful wink. Perhaps he even stands a bit taller too and puffs out his chest just a tad-- shit if she was gonna look, he wanted her to enjoy the view. And in the same breath he looks the ivory woman over once more. Her coat was so flawless and white making those bright eyes stand out like wild hungry flames. Her giggle feeds the ego of the golden colored brute more. "I'd heard tales of the waves shining in the night, so I decided to see it for myself." Gameez nods, his gaze finding it's way out to sea. 'at least you came willingly', he thinks, while watching the glowing wonder of the waves as they lovingly rolled against the sand. "They are rather awe-inspiring, hard to look away from them." he admitted in a friendly tone meant for light conversation. And then there is silence. Nothing but the sound of their breathing and the crashing of waves left between them. "And I missed my family. I'll never see them again, you know. No one ever does." it was only a few seconds but it had felt longer. The weight of her words hit him like a blow to the stomach. He feels sick and breathless, his heart gives a strong tug from within. She had came here because she was sad. Carefully slow he takes a step closer. Then another.. And another.. until he's close enough to attempt to press his chin against the top of her head. Offering the warm comfort of a hug. Triangular ears twitch, catching her soft apology. "It's okay, it's hard to let go I know," he nearly croons. "but they're not always gone; you still have their memory." And that was the truth. People left but their memories remain. He's pulling away now, clearing his throat as he tries to find Sundew's gaze. Then she asks his name. Had she not heard him before? Rather than let her know he had already told her, Gameez tries to save her the embarrassment. "Call me Gameez," bushy tail would give a small wag. Determined not to let silence crash their party again he speaks, "so, have you ever met a god?" he could take it no longer, curiosity had been eating away at him like a sickness. As he waits for a response he starts to walk the shoreline, toes playing in the bioluminescent blue of the waters edge. He motions for her to follow. "Walk with me lil mama," he hopes she will follow. Tags; SundewWords; 563
