[googlefont=Roboto][googlefont=Montserrat][googlefont=Open+Sans] [attr="class","morpheus"] Morpheus could not keep from rolling his eyes as the black male continued to march on – along the coast, though if he continued his journey it would not be long before he was face-to-face with the unscalable mountains, the sheer cliffsides, the thousand-foot drop into deep water where leviathans lurked. Still, he thought. At least the wolf knew his name. He would know who to summon should he so wish to accept the inevitability of his destiny. “Be well,” he called at last. And then he sighed and returned his attention to the remaining mortal. “Fine,” he said, an almost sulky expression crossing his face before he schooled it once more into a flat, disinterested look. He stepped nearer, seeking to meet the other face-to-face, that they might know each other clearly. The blood that stained the other’s muzzle left him looking a frightful mess, but he appeared unconcerned. “But provide me your name, at least.”Though he spoke it as a command, it was more of a request. With both so intent on leaving him, he felt he must at least speak to one of them, learn something of them. “And your companion’s, if you would. Then I shall take my leave and allow you to make your way in peace.”[newclass=.morpheus]height:440px;color:#E1DFD8;opacity:.8;margin-top:470px;text-align:justify;padding:15px;width:470px;font-family:Open Sans;font-size:10px;overflow:auto;[/newclass] [newclass=.morpheus b]font-family:montserrat;font-weight:900;color:#F0F0D8;font-size:12px;[/newclass] [newclass=.morpheus i]color:#C0D860; font: 11px Roboto; font-style: italic;[/newclass] [newclass=.morpheus::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background-color: #2A2A2A; width:1px; [/newclass] [newclass=.morpheus::-webkit-scrollbar]width: 5px; height: 5px; background: #ccc; border: 3px solid #f0f0f0;[/newclass] [newclass=.morpheus::-webkit-scrollbar-corner]background: #ccc; border: 2px solid #ccc;[/newclass] [googlefont=Open+Sans]

CONSTANTINE"An eye for an eye and the world goes blind." Actions. "Speach." 'Thoughts' A final snort was tossed in Achlys direction as the male finally seemed to remove himself from the area, signified by his voice having grown much dimmer when he tossed that final remark over his shoulder. In hindsight, considering he was literally gorging himself on the duck that man had so generously left behind, perhaps Constantine should’ve been a bit kinder with his farewell… and mannerisms in general… but his sense of social grace was nonexistent, just like his faith in Morpheus’s “Godly” plan, and from his perspective, having been starved near to death for so long and knowing full well he had the skeletal body to show for it, he reasoned it really would’ve been more rude on Achlys side to not surrender his food. Honestly, why wouldn’t you give your food to someone like that? Constantine felt no need to be grateful for something that was just common morality. Anyway, continuing to pick the waterfowl between his paws apart, he flicked his ears and waited patiently for the remaining wolf to leave, but… Curling a lip as he listened, it became apparent that the other wouldn’t be leaving unless he at least knew the blind man’s name, along with Achlys’s, whom had not been as willing to share his name with Morpheus as he had been with Constantine. It also seemed by the sound of approaching pawsteps, the stronger scent of wolf before him, and the feel of hot breath puffing on his face, that the dream god had brought himself nearer to the emaciated man, daring to place his muzzle inches away from Constantine as he spoke. Being an embittered soul, there were, naturally, a lot of things the blind man didn’t like… but having his personal space invaded when he couldn’t properly dictate the other’s intent was probably at the top of his list. Gray ears pinned back to his skull and bloodied fangs gnashing in a silent warning, Constantine rumbled low in his throat, making his distaste of the situation clearly known. As for providing his name… He didn’t think he owed that to anyone, hadn’t even given it to the wolf that surrendered his kill to him… however… if it meant the god would back up and finally piss off, he would oblige. “Constantine,” he gruffly mumbled, then tossed his head in the dark wolf’s direction… or, well, the direction he had been in anyway… “And that one’s Achlys. Satisfied?” He fixed the other with an unamused, milky eyed stare.

[googlefont=Roboto][googlefont=Montserrat][googlefont=Open+Sans] [attr="class","morpheus"] Too close, he thought. Morpheus dipped his head in an apologetic bow at the other’s obvious discomfort, though their short togetherness let him see the mortal clearly for what he was – starving and downtrodden and unwilling to trust others. At least the cause of his bitterness was transparent – not so with some of Morpheus’ previous charges. He had something he could work at here, but he also knew that the other was fast tiring of his company. So don’t wear out your welcome. He dropped his head again, made an obvious effort of stepping away from the other. “Constantine,” he repeated. “And Achlys. Very well.”There, he had names. And they knew his, would be able to summon him if some great threat rose against them. “I’ll take my leave then,” he said. “I’m satisfied, yes.”And he turned away then, intent on keeping his promise to the other – to leave, to disappear, to let him to his own devices. But there was a softness to him, a kindness that had him look back once in his departure and say, “Good luck, Constantine. I look forward to seeing what sort of god you become.”And then he was off – because he was needed elsewhere. He was always needed elsewhere. CONSTANTINE"An eye for an eye and the world goes blind." Actions. "Speech." 'Thoughts' There was an audible shifting of fur and shuffling of paws accompanied by the disappearance of the other's breath on his face; he'd stepped away, it seemed, and with that, Constantine slowly smoothed down his hackles and put away his gnashing teeth, though the very tips of his fangs could still be seen, his apprehension not entirely calmed. He wouldn't be calmed until this wolf just left him alone. Thankfully, finally, after confirming those were, in fact, the names he sought out, the other swore he was satisfied and that he would be taking his leave, allowing Constantine to further relax and ease the tension from his defensive posture, though his untrusting, unseeing gaze still remained (vaguely) glued in Morpheus's direction. Shortly afterward, as with Achlys, the sound of the other's pawsteps began to grow dimmer, suggesting he too was taking his leave. Constantine emitted another snort, returning to his meal. 'Good.'“Good luck, Constantine. I look forward to seeing what sort of god you become.”Gray ears momentarily perked to this, but quickly feel back against the thin man's head, his eyes narrowing coldly. No. He didn't want to be a "god"... he had no interest in joining their "divine ranks". He... honestly wasn't quite sure what he was going to do here, knowing there was no easy way home, and that even if there was, he had no intention of going back to those raving lunatic packmates of his... but he at least knew he wasn't going to just submit to the gods' will. He'd... figure it out... figure out some way to start a new life here, and one free of religious burden... Hopefully.
