Thump. Thump. Thump.
A sound filled her head. Her body. It was unclear if it was pain or not. But everything throbbed. Ached. Eye lids felt so heavy. So difficult to open. Darkness called at her. Pulling her deeper into her mind. Memories of her life slowly drifted around. Her family. Her empire. The death of others at her jaws. The fighting. The anger. The deep burning anger. It rested so deeply in her blood it boiled. Before that too, faded away.
Blink. Blink.
Sunlight shined in her eyes as she managed to open them. The throbbing lessened. It was such a relief. That was all that mattered. Her normally keen mind still a bit fuzzy. Slowly she sat up. Her pelt a bit clumpy from being damp. A small shake of her head. Stomach growling. She wasnt sure where she was at. Nor was she right minded enough to register how she go there. She checked herself for injuries. But nothing really hurt other then her head. And that could be from lack of drinking. With a sigh of relief. She looked around. Not recognizing how she got there. Her last memories she could recall was of her leaving her empire behind. Due to the nature of it. She remembered her anger. But she couldnt quiet remember everything.
Logically, she made it to this beach from the water perhaps. She didnt remember walking through the forest to get here. Confusion muddled her mind. Why was she here? How did she even get here? Her family must surely be looking for her by now. Sadness and a pang of betrayal filled her heart. Why was she feeling this? What happened? She tried to recall what happened. But everything was a blur. Shapes and sounds mixed with emotions that didnt add up. With a growl in frustration she let it go. She left. She didnt agree with how her family ruled. And wanted no part.

A burning sensation--no, empty sensation within his stomach interrupted his slumber. Slumber? When had he fallen asleep? Confusion laced his deeply shaded eyes as he dared a peek by opening his eyes. Again, when exactly had they even closed? As he observed what he could of a single visual perspective, he realized something with a strike of alarm: Mitis wasn't next to him. That got him up from his lying position in a heartbeat, and his head would swivel about, the male trying to catch sight of his spouse. He immediately caught sight of no one. In order to stop the rush of panic at the strange situation, he forced a rough exhale. He needed to pause for a moment and consider the last thing he recalled.
He'd been traveling in outside territory, away from...dare he even utter the name in thoughts? No. Point being, he was able to rely on the memory of nothing past simply traveling. Then the main concern returned, where was Mitis? At first, the canine began to worry of their abandonment of where they once were coming back to haunt them. He didn't regret leaving, though. Mitis had been right, and he honestly felt a lot happier thanks to her.
"Mitis." His body began to turn once he had seen all there was to see where his sights limited itself. Now he had to look behind him, to his left, to his right, anywhere he could. He took a moment to blink away slight disorientation he hadn't even noticed for some moments as he began to walk. Walk where? Wherever there was a chance of crossing paths with his missing wife. The part that made him worry was the fact he didn't even clearly recall how he got here, let alone what even happened within the timeframe of yesterday.
"Mi..." Calling voice trailed off when he spotted something. Correction: someone. Someone not Mitis, frustratingly. He made effort to initially keep his distance, no less than some yards, while brown eyes looked on curiously. The downsides of traversing new land: strangers you knew nothing about. Kicheko made best efforts to consciously keep his body language as neutral as possible, though he really couldn't help his hackles being raised upwards. He was stressing with confusion, and he had so many questions right now. He just honestly wasn't sure how to approach this. He was certain, so long he kept aggression down on his behalf, he would have a chance at a positive interaction.

Calling reached her ears. Not her name. But it made her slightly on edge. What was going on? She really wasnt sure and very confused. She spotted another wolf. A gold red one. That peaked her interest. She kept a watchful eye on it, no him, as the wind carried his scent to her. He was a stranger. And was calling for someone. Could he have lost a pup? That would make sense sorta. She had so many questions about the lands. But her mother instincts screamed worry and need to help.
She slowly approached the male. Not being completely submissive, but a concern on her face." Hello Sir, I heard you calling a name just now, You lose track of your child?" She asked slowly and full of concern. She new she was assuming things, but she was still a bit muddled in the mind from her confusion. Making her not think it through. All she knew was someone was missing and it probably was a child. Given how he was calling.

Lack of aggression was assuring. Extremely assuring, honestly. Then again, neglect of open aggression didn't mean all was safe. Brows furrowed with confused worry when the stranger had been the one to initiate the talk, offering thoughtful yet quite incorrect words. He dared a polite smile despite said confusion, the male honestly unsure why assumption would be straight to a lost child. Then again, such a thing could be most concerning out of everything to someone. "My wife." He corrected a little suddenly, as he didn't entirely intend the open correction right away. With quick concern of coming off rude, he cleared his throat to elaborate, as well as show his appreciation to what seemed so far like a genuinely kind soul. "I'm not familiar with these lands, and I hardly remember anything from yesterday. I'm not sure where she's gone. Not that she can't take care of herself, she can." Okay, stop, stop, stop. He was on the verge of ramble.
"Forgive me, it's been a while since I've seen anyone other than her in all honesty. I appreciate your concern. Let me return the favor: I'm Kicheko." A resentful chuckle caught at the back of his throat as he recalled his name really meant nothing at this point anymore. Not the way it used to in multiple ways, actually. He had no need to worry of someone using his name against him, because really, what could they do? Besides, he wasn't quite sure how to return the appreciation he felt at a so-far nice stranger other than giving his name. Perhaps it would make both feel a little more at ease. Or maybe it would backfire completely in an unforeseen consequence. Either way, he would take a moment to mentally prepare for that possibility, despite the assurance mentioned before. Maybe his confusion was having an effect on him. He couldn't recall a time that an entire day felt so fuzzy and vague.

Jyzara felt a rush of embarrassment when he said he was looking for his wife. If blush should show it would have. With a sheepish smile she chuckled a bit of embarrassment when he finished explaining. It caught her attention that he didnt remember anything from yesterday either. She barely remembered anything after leaving. It was odd. And concerning. No matter she was to be polite to him. "Sorry about assuming there, to be honest Im a bit embarrassed now. I shouldn't have rushed to that conclusion. You see, Im a bit muddled. I dont know how I got to these lands, nothing even smells familiar. Its like something is just missing from my memory. Its very confusing. My name is Jyzara, its a pleasure to meet you Kicheko." She said in a polite tone. A bit of humor in her voice. Trying to make things feel a bit more relaxed despite her confusion.
She then recalled the face he said he was looking for his wife. Part of her wanted to ask if he would like help. It would give her something to do while she worked out how this shit happened. But then again. She wasnt sure if he was quite trustworthy yet. He seemed like a decent guy. But then again. She was just not sure. Didnt know what to do. Or where to go. Why was this even happening to her? She kept her face friendly even though she was frowning on the inside. This was just so strange.

He knew embarrassment was a risk upon correction, on either party. Though, he said what he could without honestly stumbling off track in what points he would intend to make initially in regards. He listened to the apology, followed by a confirmation of embarrassment on behalf of herself. Brows furrowed as she too revealed an eerily similar situation. What was going on? Slender legs inevitably began to carry Kicheko in a silent pace back and fourth. Soothe, soothe, soothe.
He inhaled sharply through his nostrils as he caught his own movement, stopping in his tracks, back turned towards Jyzara, less she move beforehand. Suspicion urged his dark eyes to narrow--not suspicion towards the newly acquainted wolf, but instead towards the unusual situation itself. And where was Mitis? If such was linked, and someone was responsible...
The confusion and stress made him miss being familiar with his surroundings like his own pelt. "Pleasure," He returned with polite intentions, as he really wanted to just stay on the good side of her. He knew nothing about her, and the last thing he wanted was a conflict. "Do you know anything about this place?" He questioned as he'd turn his body back towards the striped female, assuming she hadn't changed her own position to put the two face-to-face earlier. Sure, he was nice to meet someone who seemed friendly for the time being, he was gaining more questions than answers.
And if Mitis was all alone, like he initially was--What if she met someone not so nice? Or perhaps the terrain itself boasted dangerous feats? "About anyone here?" She had to know something! He needed some sort of lead, anything to help him figure out even one of his infinite questions! At this point, he regretted relying so much on what he once had to make his life easier. It was all gone, and even though he knew he could deal with situations without them (because he had in his juvenile youth), it just felt infinitely more impossible now that he had been so used to it for most of his adulthood. It had been what... two years? He dared suppress a sigh of exasperation.

Jyzara sat as he paced. He seemed really worried about his wife. She felt slightly bad for the male. But she was also very confused herself. What is going on here? A sigh left her lips a bit as she was getting lost in her own thoughts. She had been home. Then she left. But there was a fight? Was there a fight? Even if there wasnt, that didnt explain how she got here. She had no idea what happened. And it was frustrating her so badly. She almost missed the fact he asked some questions.
She just shook her head slightly. "I no nothing of this land, I just woke up here. I wish I had more information to offer you. But sadly I dont." Her tone held a slight frustration to it. Along with her face. She didnt like this. Not one bit. She was not in control. He didnt seem like much of a threat. So she wasnt worried about him. But fuck. She hated not knowing how this happened to her.

He wasn't sure if he was glad Jyzara knew as much as he did, or if he should take it like a hit to the face. Pros and cons both weighed either fact, and he took a moment to observe the other wolf. "That's exactly what happened to me." He insisted. "I honestly would trust Mitis can take care of herself, but this just isn't right. You don't just normally wake up in some weird place and not have any memory on what happened the day before." Not to mention the fact they would still likely have some heat on them for their escape, it made it all the more worrying. Could he put it above the regal creatures to track them down if it meant making them pay for what is a crime in their eyes? Even when they were away from the land as a whole?
They were without a doubt more powerful than him, physically, and with the magic said land was in abundance with. Could there have been some sort of...No, his own magic was gone the moment he left, so why would it function with the regals if they followed him and Mitis out? Things just didn't add up no matter what he tried to deduce. "Did you come here alone?" He questioned, wanting to dig into every crevice possible, despite the fact he was losing hope of getting helpful answers for this.

He replied a bit after she spoke. Confirming the same thing happened to him. That is just bizarre. This was Not normal. He said his wife could take care of herself. And that was a relief. But she was still frustrated with herself. Being unable to remember how she got here bothered her so bad. She was starting to zone out within her own thoughts. It was difficult to understand how she got here. Her mind was racing so fast. Going everywhere. Not following a line of thought.
He spoke again. Seeming a bit desperate to know something. Given how he asked if she was alone when she arrived. And he had been pacing. If the same was true for him on how he got to this land. It was understandable, and common sense he was a bit desperate to figure things out. Of course she was just assuming it, and she understood she was just making an assumption. Which lead her want to no assume as that got her sorta in trouble before paw. She simply shook her head a bit. "As far as I can tell, I showed up here alone. Other then you, I havent met anyone here." She said truthfully, she really wasnt sure what else to say. They both seemed lost.

It appeared Jyzara was just as clueless as he. It felt so bad, being clueless. Especially when it came to the last loved one with him. Not that the royals were his loved ones--even then, they hadn't been technically loved ones. They had been nothing but superiors he could cower before in the blink of an eye. And why had he let them get away with abuse of their...what had they called it? Blue blood? He just had to hope they decided himself and Mitis simply weren't worth tracking in order to execute a vindictive punishment. They couldn't be behind this anomaly, surely? Even their magical abilities were limited. This was something of...deity level, surely? He had no proof of such, though, nor proof any deity even monitored these lands.
"Where do you suppose either of us would even start?" He wondered aloud in regards to solving such confusion. "What is someone even supposed to do about something like this?"
