After the hunt of the bear god, Tamlin had decided to make this lake his home, setting up a den over the span of a few days and fishing in its cool waters. After cutting his paws on the crystals that lined the lakebed, influencing their healing with the power inside seemed to heal them up better than normal. Of curse, he was still limping slightly from the initial cut but it was a good exchange anyways.
It was a good home for a lone wolf and the land had been incredibly accommodating. Tamlin was in no way, overly territorial but he enjoyed the solitude on this lake and had taken to marking the area around the den he'd dug for himself. Tamlin had even made a habit of washing his pelt out in the cool waters when he could, and it was a welcome respite from the heat that was setting in over the lands. It was a good solitude, and he felt more relaxed than he normally did. Calm, and happy to be alone in this beautiful land.
Pondering what to do on this apparently slow-moving day, Tamlin regarded his reflection in the surface of the lake. Well, he never really took the time to consider appearances but he was rather handsome. With a gentle hum he leaned in closer to the reflection, oh yes he was most definitely handsome. Sporting a shiny pelt, defined muscles, oh those eyes! Ah if only he could see himself in full, but wading into the lake would mean ruining his gorgeous pelt. Maybe he would stay right here, and just watch himself in the lake's pristine reflection. Yes, that would be a good way to spend the day.

[googlefont=Roboto][googlefont=Montserrat][googlefont=Open+Sans] [attr="class","socold"] She remembered falling asleep on her stomach, but as she woke the world seemed to have turned completely skewed. Unbeknownst to Zora...her appearance had changed dramatically. Spotted, gills, fins, scales, Gasping for air hit her instantly....odd. Vision was so strange...it didn't register quite at first. One eye was looking at the sky, she could also see the lake, waves rolling in to barely tickle her body. It immediately struck her as strange. Impossible...she was not on her back with paws in the air. The feeling of controlling fins and a strangely different tail was not fully realized as she groped with the need to be in the water. The other eye stared into utter darkness...nothing to see. The feel though was grainy and harsh, her body ached as she struggled to breathe and the weight she felt due to side laying, reminded her of a belly ache from long ago. Attempting to move resulted in an awkward flop up, tail hitting the ground with a slap. It was mind blurring but she could see a wolf...the ache when she attempted to breathe continued to grow. He was sitting by the waters edge a ways off. Hoping he would help her or know what was wrong with her somehow she attempted to call out. "H..Hel...help p....please! Each words struggled out and ragged from the lack of needed oxygen. Gasping was uncontrollable at this point. Another attempt to right herself concluded with failure. tags: Tamlinwords: 242 notes: hope it's ok that Z is a fish. Tamlin's face twisted and distorted in the water, ripples washing across the reflection and absolutely ruining his perfect face. With an angry snarl, he whipped his head around, seeking to find the source of the disruption to the once pristine surface. Was, was that a talking fish? Mhm, pretty scales, they'd look even prettier in his- ok vanity aside a talking fish topped a pretty decoration and Tamlin still had some sense in him. The wolf gently picked up the fish in his jaws and carried it into the water. It was rather weird to feel the fish flopping around in his mouth and he dropped it, a little harshly into the water. Licking his chops to clear the taste of fish out of his mouth he gazed curiously at the fish and at his reflection on the water above. "So, what exactly are you?" Tamlin woofed at the fish, feeling a little stupid for talking to it. Zora Talusooc: No worries!

[googlefont=Roboto][googlefont=Montserrat][googlefont=Open+Sans] [attr="class","socold"] She wanted to snarl as the male approached and jaws widened to grip and move her. But the sound wouldn't form and she could do little but allow herself to be lifted and carried into the water. Slowly the change was being felt and understood. Diving into the water felt...right. Her mind spun wildly as she turned around in circles left and appearing to unwind to the right just barely under the waters surface. She could see her scales and tail. It wasn't the bushy multihued one she was used to though. The motion of swimming and limitations of no limbs was still going to take some getting used to. "How did I become a flipping fish!" Her voice demanded to no one in particular as she dove down under thinking aloud. She swam easily down and back up. Staying on the surface she spoke. "I'm Zora....I think you were here when the bear came right? I'm a wolf...or I was? How in the hell?! But you still understand me?" tags: Tamlin [newclass=.socold]height:420px;color:#E1DFD8;text-align:justify;padding:10px;width:440px;font-family:Open Sans;font-size:10px;overflow:auto;background:#000;opacity:.5[/newclass] [newclass=.socold b]font-weight:700;color:#fff;text-shadow:-1px -1px #000;font: 12px Montserrat;[/newclass] [newclass=.socold i]color:#a27158; font: 10px Roboto; font-style: italic;[/newclass] [newclass=.socold::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background-color: #fff; width:1px; [/newclass] [newclass=.socold::-webkit-scrollbar]width: 5px; height: 5px; background: #ccc; border: 3px solid #f0f0f0;[/newclass] [newclass=.socold::-webkit-scrollbar-corner]background: #ccc; border: 2px solid #ccc;[/newclass]

"Mhm well then Zora, it seems that you've been cursed. Most likely by a god I'd say"Tamlin woofed, scowling harshly at the continual disruption of his lake. Seriously, would it kill this Zora creature to just stop moving? She was absolutely ruining his image and it was starting to get on his nerves. Maybe he could just eat her? No that would be terribly rude and the fish blood and scales would make an absolute mess of his face fur. It just wasn't worth it to eat the fish, not at all. "Would you mind, not, moving? You're ruining the surface of the lake and I just cannot see anything."ooc: bleh short and badZora Talus

[googlefont=Roboto][googlefont=Montserrat][googlefont=Open+Sans] [attr="class","socold"] She continued to master the fins and snout of a spotted gar, but if still felt foreign and wrong. His words stung...could it be a god. Maybe the creature they had slaughtered had spoke some shred of truth. What trick was this and who played it. Was it the only other god that she had seen, with horns? Or her guide? She shook her head inwardly...it couldn't be Oberon. She wondered exactly how long she would be this way. "I guess your right Mister. Thank you for your help. Enjoy your calm surface." And with that she turned and dove with a splash. Her fins propelling her deeper to explore. He seemed less focused, but it didn't strike her either way as they weren't acquainted formally during the hunt. tags: Tamlinnotes: No you're fine <3 I feel slow this week anyway./ Zora could lurk for a bit to see if maybe someone else affected comes along? Or we can continue if you want, she could pop back up. Tamlin grunted appreciatively as the fish dove back under the water and left him with his beautiful reflective lake, and his beautiful handsome face. Everything was as it should be, and he could just sit, relax, kick back and admire his gorgeous face in the crystal clear reflection of the lake's pristine surfaces. Life was good like this. ooc: Alright! Sorry he isn't being that interesting right nowZora Talus
