Leyda seemed to hang on to every word, committing each to memory like the image of a flower you couldn't bear to pick, lest it withers and loses its value. The wolf feared that if she forgot a single word, this Godly path and supposedly glorious purpose that laid ahead would disintegrate into dust in her grasping jaws. Only to leave her alone and ordinary, everything shown and then snatched away in the cruelest of fashions. She was determined to not let that happen to her. So, her own signs. Things to take note of, such as strange objects, repeated circumstances, and anything that seemed out of the ordinary for a usual dream. Truly it would be quite the undertaking, what it would be for her to figure out a way to keep track of it all! Still, memory had always served her well and there was no reason for it to stop being as such. "Thank you Morpheus, is there anything else that I should know?"ooc: Alright! On a side note, how would the process work? Should I be posting dreams or just winging it?Lirriel

[googlefont=Roboto][googlefont=Montserrat][googlefont=Open+Sans] [attr="class","morpheus"] Their parting was fast approaching. It was not that he did not wish to assist her – but as had been mentioned, his assistance would count for little, bereft of memories as he was. But beyond that, there was always the calling of more mortals. They thrummed in the night air, flickers of life that stood out oddly within the mystical lands. They were beacons, though the closer he drew, the harder it was to discern their exact location. But he was certain he had given Leyda all the counsel he could possibly offer now. Yes, he would have to speak of the God Realm, eventually – but that would be when she had first caught the strands of her power and had begun to learn something of their weaving. So he smiled and shook his head to her question, before clarifying, “Not at this time. But we will meet again when you have begun to master your power. You will be ready for more then.”Cryptic words, yes, but he trusted her to trust him, to believe that he kept information hidden for her benefit and not his own. And, in this case, it was true – the realm of the gods was no place for a mortal that could not properly exert their will. “You should rest,” he told her softly. “The day dawns early tomorrow, and you shall have to begin your journey in earnest.”It was the soft prelude to the expected farewell. But he stood near still, wanting to make sure she truly needed nothing else from him before passing on. Taya nodded as Morpheus finished, relieved that she would be meeting him again. While she was excited to explore this place on her own it would be nice to have someone in her corner that could help her along her journey in this strange new world. "Thank you truly Morpheus." She whuffed, feeling the hands of sleep already tugging gently at her pelt "You are right, I should get some rest and prepare for tomorrow. I hope to see you again sooner rather than later cousin."ooc: This took obscenely long and not very good, I'm sorryLirriel

[googlefont=Roboto][googlefont=Montserrat][googlefont=Open+Sans] [attr="class","morpheus"] He offered a small smile, the indulgent comfort a parent might provide a child. Of the many wolves he had met, Leyda had proven herself to be quick to grasp his affections. She and Pepper both, really. Did it make him a bad Guide, to choose favorites, to think on them fondly? To know that if he were ever to face a choice between them and the others, he’d rush to their side before the call had completed? He did not think so. After all, he was a God before he was a Guide, and a god was allowed their favored children. So he nodded at her final words, stepping away, body turning toward the south-east: the Broken Coast called him, lonely waves washing over each other, whispering quietly in his ears though he was still lengths and lengths away. “Goodbye Leyda,” he murmured. “May your journey prove fruitful.”And then he was away, his white pelt slowly swallowed up by the gloom of night, disappearing back down into the bowels of the valley. High above, the stars watched quietly, burning with untold secrets. [attr="class", "godling"] tags: Leyda Farstridewords: 184 notes: thread complete!
