[googlefont=Roboto][googlefont=Montserrat][googlefont=Open+Sans] [attr="class","pepper"] Only a few days had passed since Pepper had been reverted back to her youthful physique. It still came as a shock to wake in the mornings and see her own puppy paws stretched out before her snout - today had been no different. She had yet to successfully contact Morpheus and concluded that the god of dreams was either busy or disposed in some other matter. As much as the baby-faced wolf didn't like it, it seemed that this condition was going to stick for a while longer. It was bad enough to be so skittish prior to this event and now it seemed that the tendrils of fear wrangled around her tiny body even more often.
Already her stubby steps had turned into nervous stumbles once the young canine broke away from her den. Blue eyes were hardly able to peer above the snowdrops to see if anything that could serve as prey or food in general was nearby. In all honesty, Pepper was starving. She hadn't been able to eat in a few days now; not because she didn't want to, but because it was near impossible for her to catch anything anymore. The elongated appendages that used to boast a great amount of speed were now the stubs that she had adorned when little.
Rib bones were beginning to form a solid marking on Pepper's flank whilst the groves along the spinal cord also made a debut. It seemed that this ill joke was serving her worse than what she had originally feared for the scrawny being looked even more emaciated than she did when grown. tags: --- words: 269 notes: hop on in [newclass=.pepper]max-height:400px;color:#E1DFD8;text-align:justify;padding:10px;width:440px;font-family:Open Sans;font-size:10px;overflow:auto;background:#000;opacity:.5[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper b]color:#843a30;text-shadow: 0px 0px 2px;font-family:montserrat;letter-spacing:1px;[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper i]color:#dc2f18; font: 11px Roboto; font-style: italic;[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background-color: #fff; width:1px; [/newclass] [newclass=.pepper::-webkit-scrollbar]width: 5px; height: 5px; background: #ccc; border: 3px solid #f0f0f0;[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper::-webkit-scrollbar-corner]background: #ccc; border: 2px solid #ccc;[/newclass]

Things had simply gone from bad to worse in matter of days since his random transportation to this strange, alien world. Without warning, Myrr had woken one morning with the most ridiculous vision. Everything was blurred or moved when it shouldn't have. His sense of direction was absurd, hunting was completely out of the picture. Emotions ran rampart behind his scowling face as they tore into his thick hide like the teeth of past usurpers. Today was much better. Still under this corrupt influence, the male's senses were merely heightened. Small details normally overlooked popped out and took dominance of his focus. Sounds seemed clearer, each vocal cue picked out from the masses. Scents clogged his nasal passages, bringing his normally low held head further to the ground. Unfortunately, the frosted brute was even more distracted than previous by his senses. Some times overwhelmed even. This led his heavy paws from the dark woods to a brighter, more open expanse dotted small white flower heads. The sounds of birds filled his ears to a deafening degree while the smells of small and large prey suffocated him. "Wonderful... Wretched dark magics.."

[googlefont=Roboto][googlefont=Montserrat][googlefont=Open+Sans] [attr="class","pepper"] The tangy scents of fear spiked with a sudden sharpness, but it wasn't due to her meek presence. Something was spooking the prey and, in turn, beckoned a tangle of fear in her own heart. Pepper hoped that perhaps it was Quartz or one of the others she knew to be trustworthy; maybe they could help her with this troublesome predicament. Stubby limbs staggered across the snowdrop-covered lands toward the origin of this spreading weariness. Puppy-blue eyes soon spotted an onyx behemoth on the horizon - though bearing the same coat, this being certainly wasn't Quartz. She was more uncertain than she'd ever been, but it was too late to back out now. With a big swallow and timid steps befit of her scrawny physique, Pepper approached the brute. If things went sour there was little she could do to defend herself. The plan would be to scamper away as fast as her little limbs could carry her and pray that Morpheus heard her cries. Hopefully it wouldn't come to that. When only a trio of yards separated big from small, the youth's voice quivered to life, "Excuse me...sir?"tags: Myrrwords: 190 notes: --- [newclass=.pepper]max-height:400px;color:#E1DFD8;text-align:justify;padding:10px;width:440px;font-family:Open Sans;font-size:10px;overflow:auto;background:#000;opacity:.5[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper b]color:#843a30;text-shadow: 0px 0px 2px;font-family:montserrat;letter-spacing:1px;[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper i]color:#dc2f18; font: 11px Roboto; font-style: italic;[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background-color: #fff; width:1px; [/newclass] [newclass=.pepper::-webkit-scrollbar]width: 5px; height: 5px; background: #ccc; border: 3px solid #f0f0f0;[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper::-webkit-scrollbar-corner]background: #ccc; border: 2px solid #ccc;[/newclass]

The bark of these large trees was interesting. The grooves seemed to reach deeper into the flesh of the wood creating a mixed, broken terrain of mountains and valleys. The dark shadows stood out in major contrast to the bright light of the peeks, and in a few places golden rivers of sap filled the ravines. Forests of moss obscured some of the lowlands, adding to the palette of colors rich hues of emerald and lime. How strange the- A tiny voice echoed in Myrr's ears with resounding booms. Possibly not the true tones of the tiny whelp hunkered a few yards from him. How had he missed...never mind. "What do you want, scrap?" Perhaps more harsh than he intended. It seemed his mind was still clotted with this...whatever it was. Still, dark eyes glowered down the ebony nose at the pup first with annoyance then blank registration. Only it appeared as blank as his eyes took in the child's neglected state. Pitiful. Probably orphaned. Little to no chance of survival.

Post by Sundew on Jul 8, 2018 21:43:11 GMT
What a beautiful day! Sundew was still absolutely astounded that she had been called to live in this gorgeous realm, with these paragons of various virtues, all striving to reach the ultimate goal of godhood. It was like living a dream! Sometimes it still felt like a dream, and the young wolf despaired of waking up and finding herself back in the boring old snow with her boring old pack. Instead, she was romping through a summer meadow still scattered with the last vestiges of spring's pale white flowers. Soon the sun's heat would cause their petals to wilt and darken, drying up and falling away to make way for the next crop of ephemeral blossoms. For now, they were still white and joyful, as exuberant in their growth as Sundew was in her movement.
Life in this glorious realm in this easy season had proofed a bit too easy for her rambunctious spirits. It seemed as if every rabbit doe had a whole litter of kittens just learning to run as if every bush was full of nests with little peeping nestlings, and as if every thicket held a set of twin fawns ripe for the plucking. Energy coursed through her limbs as she literally bounced off neighboring trunks as she made her way through the forest.
Suddenly she skidded to a stop. A scent had reached her nose, although to be honest she probably should have noticed it a few reckless bounds back. Well, too late for that. Besides, it was only wolves and not many. Sundew hadn't met many wolves in her time here, but those she had met had been odd. Some had even seemed afflicted with curses or spells. Well, such things must be common in realms such as these. Sundew herself had noticed no spectacular effects, although some had been a bit discomfited by her presence.
Curious to see what would be wrong with these two wolves, she headed in that direction. Unable to restrain her joyful exuberance, she nearly barreled right into the larger of the two wolves - a big grizzled black brute who had just the kind of serious air that Sundew had learned to loathe. The other wolf was a little scrap of a pup - really just skin and bones held together by tufts of fur. "Oh you poor poor thing! You look positively dreadful, and whyever are you hanging around such a scruffy looking wolf? Are you related? It doesn't look like it. What an odd pair!"
Sunny felt as if her tongue had been loosened by the sun. Warmth spread from its feel on her fur to her tongue, speeding it on its merry way with little thought for everyone else. "I'm Sundew! Who are you?"

[googlefont=Roboto][googlefont=Montserrat][googlefont=Open+Sans] [attr="class","pepper"] Considering how tiny Pepper was in her current state, this obsidian brute looked like an overgrown bear. The male's face seemed grim and the fear-scent that lingered beneath his skin hurt her nose so much she had to resort to mouth-breathing. As if all this wasn't enough to inspire the knots of anxiety and fear to tangle within the wolf's heart, the behemoth spoke down to her like the fact she ambled over was an inconvenience to his life. Instinct lowered the salt-pepper youth's front torso into a bow whilst her tail tucked against her stomach - a submissive pose. "I'm... sorry to disturb you." The words came up her throat in a strained choke. It was a pitiful sound only amplified by her appearance as a six-week-old. It was at times like these where Pepper wished she wasn't such a push-over. Maybe if she could actually pipe-up and explain things would be a lot easier. Thankfully, it seemed like the gods were on her side today. Coming from the duo's flank was a canine dipped in a shiny alabaster. Usually, the skeleton creature would of sobbed at the aspect of another stranger strutting over, but this being gave of a radiance that emitted warmth. It seemed the joyous newcomer quickly noticed her poor state too, for the words of concern soon poured out into the open. Funnily enough, Sundew reminded Pepper a lot of her mother; she greatly doubted the youthful female was even older than her, however. Or, well, older than she usually was. In any case, the similarities were enough to settle the turmoil raging inside the scrawny wolf's mind for now though it didn't seem to be enough to coax her out of the crouched position that was mounted. "Oh, uh, nice to meet you. I'm Pepper and, um, no we're not related."tags: Myrr Sundewwords: 306 notes: the more the merrier! Upon further observation, the brute was able to pick out the scrap's scent from the mash of others. Strange, she appeared to be something she was not. The very idea only confirmed his knowledge that this place was riddle with curses and foul magics most unlike the kinds of his home. He would have been content to try and suss information from the tiny pup when a noise like a deafening choir accompanied the entrance of a snow clad she-wolf. The jovial expression she wore was like a perpetual sun forever beaming down on the gloom of a monotonous life. Specially, his life. "No, we're not related", he backed the pitiful pup's words up with his own gruff, albeit off pitch due to the effects of the ill wrought magic, voice. "In fact, I don't even know her name." Not that he really cared and did nothing in the way of introducing himself. For all he knew, these two where just illusions and he was simply standing alone talking to nothing. How dignifying...

As neither of the wolves had yet to throw themselves at Sundew in a vicious attack, she decided they were unlikely to be dangerous. She plopped herself down in a relaxed sitting position, mouth hanging open in a classic canine grin. So, not related. It was odd for a pup of that age to be out of the den by itself. Perhaps she had been taken along for her first hunting expedition and lost her way? Or had she been pulled through into this other world all alone? She would surely die, no matter what her potential. Sunny's heart broke, splintering in her chest as she imagined the sheer waste of it all. What good was it tearing a pup out of her pack's loving paws because of her great potential just to ensure her slow, gruesome death?
"That's just awful!" burst out of her throat, concern just as dramatic as her exuberance had been moments earlier. "A little thing like you, all alone? You're sure to die." Sundew paused, shocked. That was a bold statement to make, even by her standards. She didn't want to hurt the little things feelings after all. Partially to deflect attention from her blunder, the she-wolf turned a stern eye on the black adult wolf, feeling the first stirrings of suspicion in her heart. He seemed.. off somehow like his world wasn't quite centered with the real world. Sundew's violet eyes narrowed.
"Well?" she demanded, pitching her voice the same way her mother did when one of her children, normally Sundew, was misbehaving. "You've heard her name. What's yours?" The white wolf edged a little bit closer to the little pup, ready to dive in between her and the male wolf. She loathed having to mistrust a person but really, how was she to know who this bloke was? He could be the god of deceit for all she knew! Still, everyone deserved at least one chance to get things right. Gods knew she had used enough herself!

[googlefont=Roboto][googlefont=Montserrat][googlefont=Open+Sans] [attr="class","pepper"] Well this wasn't what Pepper had had in mind when she crawled out of her den this morning. The drops of flowers in this Cradle had always been a source of comfort and peace, but now the youth-trapped wolf couldn't feel any more alienated while standing among them. First there was the grumpy bear of a male that seemed to care little of her troublesome problem. Secondly Sundew, while much better company than the intimidating brute, didn't seem to proffer much help besides worry. She appreciated the other female's care, but suspected the kind words were beckoned mostly due to her now-dwarfed size. The loner of the snowdrops didn't need pity; understanding needed to be promoted if she was to acquire aid in actually getting to eat today. A grimace twisted wrinkles on Pepper's soft features at the rather harsh prediction of her demise, but she stood her ground. Stubby appendages actually pushed upward now to regain what little stature she could. Morpheus and Quartz weren't here to speak-up for her; the emaciated canine would have to do it all her own. "No, I won't be dying anytime soon. I've made too much progress to give up now and let some curse do me in."Blue eyes danced over to the towering male. Anxiety still twisted inside the huntress' stomach, yet the fear she had previously held was banished. She had demanded it leave her be... and it listened. In any case, though not the most awe-inspiring sight, Pepper at least looked competent. She would wait for the guttural tones of the midnight wolf to pass before speaking again - wanting to clear the situation of confusion on why she was here once and for all. "I just need some help hunting. Please. My legs are too small now; I can't even run-down a wood mouse. If you'd both help me, I promise to help you in the future with whatever you need." tags: Myrr Sundew words: 325 notes: --- [newclass=.pepper]max-height:400px;color:#E1DFD8;text-align:justify;padding:10px;width:440px;font-family:Open Sans;font-size:10px;overflow:auto;background:#000;opacity:.5[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper b]color:#843a30;text-shadow: 0px 0px 2px;font-family:montserrat;letter-spacing:1px;[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper i]color:#dc2f18; font: 11px Roboto; font-style: italic;[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background-color: #fff; width:1px; [/newclass] [newclass=.pepper::-webkit-scrollbar]width: 5px; height: 5px; background: #ccc; border: 3px solid #f0f0f0;[/newclass] [newclass=.pepper::-webkit-scrollbar-corner]background: #ccc; border: 2px solid #ccc;[/newclass]

There was mild hesitation at the thought of just turning around and leaving the two. Though he had several interactions with pups, the male knew little of their care and needs. After all, it had never been his job what with his position in ranking. That was for the denmothers. Or just the females in general. And he had never been a father, not that anyone had caught his attention. "Wha-" The stark demands of this Sundrop wolf, or whatever her name was, made the male balk visibly. He hadn't pinned her for the leader type, then again, looks can be deceiving. "Myrriah." Blast it all! The state of his mind must had dulled his senses and let his tongue mildly loose so that his full name was given. "Damn it." Though, he doubted any of these wolves would even know him from his previous life. Let alone at all. Yet he had to show that he had slipped up... This surviving thing was going real sweet, just peachy keen. With a defeated posture the male sat and indignantly glared down at the now somewhat defiant pup. Maybe she wouldn't die after all- Wait.. What had she said? "Made too much progress?" and "My legs are too short now?" What the blast did that mean!? "What the hell are you, some sort of..." And now his mind went blank... Perfect.
TAG: Pepper, SundewOCC: Welp, sorry Myrr is a complete butt.
